The lettershapes and illustrations presented in this log were sampled from variuos underground LIthuanian resistance publications made by the Partisans between 1944 and 1952, during the second soviet ocupation.
These publications were the only outlet for sharing the international news, embodying the spirit and the idea of Lithuanian independence, and publicly demasking the terror that came with the Soviet occupation. While the publications were a vital source of national pride and unity, these lettershapes, crafted in the constant face of death, stand as a visual testament to the resilience and determination of those who sacrificed for the freedom.

TYPOGRAPHY CATALOG
This is a catalog of letters designed by Lithuanian Freedom Fighters - Partisans, also known as Forest Brothers.
Some lettershapes were never to be found since they are not common or non-present in the Lithuanian language.
Let this catalog be a tribute to all of the unbelievable challenges Partisan publishers and associates had to overcome in order to spread the independent Lithuanian press.
